Dolores Kent, MD, a board-certified Harvard Medical School graduate, cosmetic surgeon, gynecological surgeon, medical director and gynecologist demonstrates the Botox injection techniques.
This course provides step-by-step instructions on botulinum toxin injection procedures and advice on managing common issues seen in follow-up visits. Each section focuses on a single procedure and reviews all relevant anatomy, including target muscles and their functions and muscles to be avoided. The locations of the appropriate injection sites and the injection techniques are clearly identified to help practitioners perform the procedures more effectively and minimize complication risks.
The instructional videos cover treatments in the upper third of the face for frown lines, horizontal forehead lines, and crow's feet procedures. Subsequent sections cover more advanced face and neck procedures and the treatment of vertical platysmal bands and correcting facial asymmetry.
Cosmetic injections have surged in popularity because they are a non-surgical treatment to help minimize the effects of the aging process on the face. Botox injections and facial fillers are the two most popular injectable aesthetic procedures.

Customer Reviews:
“The course was very informative and it was great to have the information in writing. Also great to have a visual video to know how to perform each service. The doctor was very clear and well spoken and the camera angles were clear for good visual learning. I do not like a lot of “fluff” so I really appreciated that the information in each unit was concise and factual. I liked the pictures of the anatomy and then the doctor points to the location and describes locations again, using a real person. Concise information and good visual pictures to explain muscles. Good model choice for gummy smile because it was very evident and interesting to see the results from Botox. The exams were short, but thorough, hitting main points. Easy to use testing interface.” Jana M., Registered Nurse
“Very easy to follow, great intro to Botox. It was great to have the intro followed by outline/course objectives. The videos were relaxed paced so I didn’t feel rushed to memorize details and I could focus on watching the techniques being used. I was not familiar with the muscles in the face and was concerned that the modules would move too quickly, but your method of focusing on one portion of the face at a time worked well. It was helpful that the course progressed from simple to more complex, ending with the list of terms to study.” Lynn A., RN
“Easy straight forward training, I liked the music. The course was easy to understand, the length of the videos were not overwhelming and were clear. I feel the quizzes were good and not too long. The course is great...” Biviana A., Nurse Practitioner
“I enjoyed watching the videos of the actual Botox injection application. The course is perfect for aestheticians who want to know about Botox and get a general idea or knowledge of how it works. It was also a great review of the facial and neck muscles.” Monica G., Licensed Esthetician
“Very nicely done. The course was great … and very detailed.” Setina A., LPN
“I was completely satisfied with the class. The short videos were perfect with important information about Botox injections. I retain more information by watching educational videos. It complements the information written in each module. I have already suggested to my esthetician friends to take this guide to Botox injections so they can educate their clients better.” Rosa C., CIDESCO Diplomat, Licensed Esthetician, Laser Practitioner
“... it was thorough and informative.” Cidney C., Skin Care Professional
“I like how each chapter was short. As well as videos included. Great for people with short attention spans. And allows to me to take breaks standing up in between chapters.” Christy T., Student
“I really loved it, it was a challenge, but definitely helpful...” Tyisha D.
